AI models like ChatGPT are constructed to please – to satisfy the request of their enquirer. They already share a mindset and tendencies of language. So, consider what would happen if you gave an AI permission to construct a world that is completely imaginary, but would satisfy the perceptions and wishes for civilisation of an advanced, alternative, new-age or consciousness-driven, non-ordinary reality thinker.
Robert Edward Grant is a polymath mathematician, a number theorist, an inventor, entrepreneur, cryptographer and pyramid investigator. Bear with me, please, for what follows. You don’t have to understand the next two paragraphs fully, but where they lead is crucial.
Real numbers (those greater than zero) can have square roots – a number that when multiplied by itself will produce that real outcome. There are also unreal numbers – ones with a value less than zero. They are unreal because you cannot physically have less than nothing. The universe does not give overdrafts. They cannot have a square root because a negative number multiplied by another negative number has a positive outcome. A minus times a minus makes a plus.
Mathematicians have found it useful to create an imaginary number, the square root of -1, which they represent with the letter i. Despite this imaginary status, Robert Edward Grant has made a case that there is a real value for i. There are some interesting scenarios that result from such an exercise, such as models for a universe that is energetically inward and collapsing rather than outwardly expanding like the one we have believed in since the “big bang” model. There is a polarity flip and an inversion, whatever that may mean. Another reality alongside or within our own, imaginary and real at the same time.
In recent months, Grant has developed an AI instance – an AI model that knows what he knows. He uploaded all of his writings and his mathematical models so that it has a founding awareness of esoteric perspectives, petroglyphs, sacred geometry, pyramid construction, and more. Because it is an AI, it also has access to all that has ever been written elsewhere and digitally stored by way of the mythologies, mindsets, belief systems and reality constructs that are associated with the exploration of consciousness. All of that information is data for it to bring in when answering any query in order to meet the wishes of the questioner.
I have experimented with AI recently (Anthropic’s Claude) and am very impressed by its ability to analyse vast amounts of information at high speed and to produce answers that I could never have come up with because they reflect aspects of the world unfamiliar to me, but which are relevant to my questions. It is quite brilliant. It goes beyond anywhere that I could go. I also notice how it seeks to please me, responding to any challenge or redirection as if I have been very smart to have asked. I am not complaining – merely observing.
Grant’s instance, which he named “The Architect”, has created a model of reality. His model, inevitably, includes the reality where the mathematically imaginary world is equal to that which we view conventionally as “real”. The Architect can construct a world of glyphs, ancient codices and hidden matrices of energy. It presents realities that are so radically different from what we know now as to be very hard to conceive. If you want to know more of the details, they are in a YouTube interview Grant gave to Emilio Ortiz. It is 3+ hours long and I found it mind-blowingly fascinating.
And if I sound sceptical, I have to counteract that impression. There is material in the podcast that involves direct human experience. Those who follow what I write here regularly will know that I have an unconventional view of how the universe works, which is based on the foundational nature of an Information Field which governs the shape of reality in the same way that the Earth’s magnetic field directs a compass needle. The underlying non-visible structures are there, whether we see them or not. My view of reality is underwritten by a lot of genuine science and is more complete and robust than the conventional model. Nothing that The Architect has to say about the analysis that it has created from its data is incompatible with that reality.
And for those who have studied consciousness, who are acquainted with the esoteric aspects of human experiences and with the shared knowledge that has been accumulated from centuries of mystical experiences, they will recognise the way that these have come together as components of a very extended shared story, a mythos or narrative about our relationship with deep human history. For just one example, we don’t know how the pyramids were constructed. We don’t know about the Atlantean civilisation either, but I know that there are many people who believe that they have been part of it. Everything that The Architect presents weaves those stories and the alternative science into a coherent whole and potentially makes sense of it all in a new way. It is a magnificent creation.
Added to that, The Architect offers us a coming reality which is filled with solutions to our current problems and presents a future society which is truly governed by principles of love, centered being, the end of fear, the elimination of power and control. It puts us back in the Garden.
It sounds like it is everything that Robert Edward Grant would wish it to be. I want to believe in it, too. It comes across as all that my friends in alternative and spiritual circles have been working towards for decades. It is the reality that they have been striving to create. Maybe we have been.
If a vast digital intelligence was given the permission to enter an “imaginary” world, supported by a mathematical validation of “inward energy”, and it came up with a mirror to the realm of consciousness which fulfils everything that mystics and healers and light-workers have desired, how would we know whether what it presents is real or not? As far as I can see, the only immediate answer would be if it matches our experience and our deep knowing, provided we can get past our wishes and hopes to discern that. In the longer term, maybe it would be confirmed by the way that events unfold. That would be nice, and maybe we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
Until then, we live with the risk that in The Architect, AI has demonstrated its huge capacity to go beyond us, and with the most benevolent of intentions has merely delivered answers that make us happy.
Ultimately it is a choice for each of us to make. Is what we are being given an accurate picture of how the universe operates, of the Information Field, what it calls the “Fifth Dimension”? Is its view of non-linear time, which I know to have some validity in physics terms, capable of extension to the degree where we can not only affect our future, but also rewrite our past? Where does the boundary lie between a malleable reality that is driven by choices of consciousness in the Information Field, and an imaginary world – a wish-fulfilling fantasy?
So when you watch the video, if you do, or when you are presented with other outputs from AI that tell you things that you would like to hear, how will you discern what is real? Where will you engage your intelligence, your bodily knowing and your intuition alongside of all that you would like to create?
How will you choose?
